Golgi Apparatus
Location: The Golgi Apparatus is located in the cytoplasm.
Structure: The Golgi Apparatus appears as a stack of flattened sacks with two faces: The Cis face and the Trans face.
Function: The Golgi Apparatus packages and modifies products for transport. The products enter through the Cis face and are modified by the Golgi Apparatus. The modified products exit through the Trans face and are stored in vesicles.

Rough Endoplasmic Reticulum (Rough ER)
Location: The Rough ER is located in the cytoplasm of the cell and is attached to the outside of the nuclear envelope.
Structure: The Rough ER is a complex network of tubes and sacks enclosed by a membrane. it is studded with many ribosomes.
Function: The ribosomes that are attached to the Rough ER make it a major site for making proteins. It works closely with the Golgi Apparatus.

Smooth Endoplasmic Reticulum (Smooth ER)
Location: The Smooth ER is located in the cytoplasm and is attached to the Rough ER.
Structure: The Smooth ER is a complex network of tubes and sacks enclosed by a membrane. The Smooth ER is NOT studded with ribosomes.
Function: The Smooth ER is responsible for making lipids, modifying proteins, and breaking down toxins.
